Jalapeno BBQ Sauce Recipes and Chipotle Chili based Sauces!

Chipotle chilies add a great smoky flavor to food and in particular these barbecue sauce recipes.  What are Chipotle chilies you ask?  They are dried and smoked Jalapeno peppers which gives them a unique taste which is quite different than the normal Jalapeno you are used to.  

The picture on the right shows the most common type of Chipotle you will find which happens to be known as the morita.  This is most likely what you'll find at your local grocery store unless you happen to have a store with a great variety of mexican food.  In that case, give the recipe a try with other types of Chipotle and let us know.  We'd be happy to have you post your comments on using other varieties of Chipotle and chili peppers.
